Owen Jackson

Business Consultant

Virginia MBDA Business Center

Owen Jackson is currently the managing principal of the Eagle Consulting, LLC (Eagle), a business consulting development firm located in the Washington, DC metro region. Eagle utilizes strategic partnerships and the diverse business and professional backgrounds of its principals to improve performance and profitability of its clients.

Prior to the start of his company, Owen served as the CFO for Helix Enterprises, Inc., where he provided both operational and programmatic support to the organization. Owen supervised the finance unit and was the chief financial spokesperson for the organization. Before assuming the position of CFO, Owen served as the Vice President of Business Development for the National Community Reinvestment Coalition (NCRC). Under Owen’s leadership, businesses across the country gained access to more than $2.8 Billion in financing, secured more than $500 Million in contracts, and—most importantly—created more than 2,000 new jobs since the opening of its first Business Development Center in 2004. Owen provided management and oversight to NCRC’s three Minority Business Development Agency Business Centers located in Washington, DC, Houston, Texas, and New York City. Owen also managed the strategic direction of two NCRC projects, sponsored by the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA), the Washington, D.C. Women’s Business Center and the Small Business Teaming Center. An entrepreneur at heart, Owen previously spent ten years as the President and Chief Operating Officer of an IT consulting firm located in New York City. Community and local officials recognized Owen for outstanding performance of his company.

A graduate of City University of New York, Owen received a B.Sc. in Chemistry and is a member of the American Management Association. In addition to his undergraduate education, Owen has completed business administration programs at the University of Alaska and the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth.
